CPA, CMA, CIA - Manager (Accounting & Advisory)

Muzammil has 13 years of experience of public accounting, risk management, SOX testing, corporate governance, internal audit, consulting, and accounting. Since joining Solaris, Muzammil has worked on a wide variety of projects including a real estate client for whom he finalized the first-time implementation of ASC – 842 - Leases. Muzammil was also heavily involved in their month-end and year-end financial statement close process (standalone and consolidated financial statements). His other projects have included the facilitation of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Oracle NetSuite implementation projects for SaaS and Logistics clients.

Prior to joining Solaris, Muzammil has worked as a Manager in PwC in Toronto for listed and private clients within Asset Wealth Management (AWM), Retail (consumer electronics), Pensions, leading the practice nationally within the AWM space. Additionally, Muzammil has prior experience working in Dubai both in public accounting and industry working on a wide array of clients within Automotive, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Pharmaceutical, Hospitality, dealing with Board of Directors (BOD), executive management along with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Muzammil is a life-long learner – in addition to his professional responsibility to obtain the Chartered Professional Accountant (“CPA”) designation from Ontario, Canada, he has committed time and energy to obtaining the Certified Management Accountant (“CMA”) and Certified Internal Auditor (“CIA”) designations so that he can continue to provide value to his clients and their internal stakeholders.
